Vamana Avatar
Vamana Avatar is the fifth of Lord Vishnu's Dashavatara. Vishnu appeared as a small Brahmin boy at King Bali's yajna and asked for three steps of land. He then expanded into Trivikrama, covering earth and heaven, and placed the third step on Bali's head. This avatar teaches humility, promise-keeping, surrender, and the surrender of ego.
