चन्द्र सी ज्योत तुम्हारी, जल निर्मल आता ।
शरण पड़े जो तेरी, सो नर तर जाता ॥

पुत्र सगर के तारे, सब जग को ज्ञाता ।
कृपा दृष्टि तुम्हारी, त्रिभुवन सुख दाता ॥

एक ही बार जो तेरी, शरणागति आता ।
यम की त्रास मिटा कर, परम गति पाता ॥

आरती मातु तुम्हारी, जो जन नित्य गाता ।
दास शिवनन्द स्वामी, सुख सम्पति पाता ॥

अर्थ: हे माँ गंगे, आपकी जय हो! हे श्री गंगे माता, आपकी सदा जय हो! जो भी मनुष्य श्रद्धापूर्वक आपका ध्यान करता है, उसे अपने मन की सभी इच्छाओं के अनुरूप फल प्राप्त होते हैं।
O Mother Ganga, victory be to You! O Shri Ganga Mata, eternal victory be to You! Any person who meditates upon You with devotion attains all their desired fruits.
अर्थ: आपकी ज्योति चंद्रमा के समान शीतल और निर्मल है, और आपका जल अत्यंत पवित्र तथा जीवनदायिनी है। जो भी भक्त आपकी शरण में आता है, वह इस भवसागर के दुखों से पार होकर मोक्ष को प्राप्त कर लेता है।
Your divine light is as cool and pure as the moon, and Your water is supremely sacred and life-giving. Any devotee who takes refuge in You crosses over the sorrows of this worldly ocean and attains liberation.
अर्थ: हे माता, यह बात सारा संसार जानता है कि आपने ही राजा सगर के साठ हज़ार पुत्रों का उद्धार किया था, उन्हें मुक्ति प्रदान की थी। आपकी कृपा दृष्टि तीनों लोकों को सुख और शांति प्रदान करने वाली है।
O Mother, it is known to the entire world that You liberated the sixty thousand sons of King Sagar, granting them salvation. Your compassionate gaze bestows happiness and peace upon all three worlds.
अर्थ: जो कोई भी एक बार भी सच्चे हृदय से आपकी शरणागति में आता है, वह यमराज के भय और कष्टों से मुक्त होकर परम गति, यानी मोक्ष को प्राप्त करता है।
Whoever comes to Your refuge even once with a true heart is freed from the fear and suffering inflicted by Yama (the god of death) and attains the supreme state of liberation.
अर्थ: दास शिवनन्द स्वामी कहते हैं कि जो भी भक्त प्रतिदिन आपकी इस पावन आरती का गान करता है, वह जीवन में सुख, समृद्धि और सभी प्रकार की संपत्ति को प्राप्त करता है।
The servant Shivnand Swami proclaims that any devotee who daily sings this sacred Aarti of Yours attains happiness, prosperity, and all forms of wealth in life.
