जय जय संकटा भवानी, करहूं आरती तेरी।
शरण पड़ी हूँ तेरी माता, अरज सुनहूं अब मेरी॥
नहिं कोउ तुम समान जग दाता, सुर-नर-मुनि सब टेरी।
कष्ट निवारण करहु हमारा, लावहु तनिक न देरी॥
काम-क्रोध अरु लोभन के वश पापहि किया घनेरी।
सो अपराधन उर में आनहु, छमहु भूल बहु मेरी॥
खप्पर, खड्ग हाथ में धारे, वह शोभा नहिं कहत बनेरी।
ब्रह्मादिक सुर पार न पाये, हारि थके हिय हेरी॥
भव बंधन में सो नहिं आवै, निशदिन ध्यान धरीरी।
जो नर तुमको नित्य ध्यावै, संकट कटे सब तेरी॥
पुत्रहीन जो तुमको ध्यावै, पुत्र देहु सुखकारी।
निर्धन को धन देहु माता, जो ध्यावै नर नारी॥
रोग ग्रसित जो तुमको ध्यावै, रोग कटे दुखहारी।
संकट मोचन नाम तिहारो, जय जय संकटा माई॥

Brahmadik Sur Paar Na Paye, Haari Thake Hiy Heri ||
Bhav Bandhan Mein So Nahin Aavai, Nishdin Dhyan Dhariri |
Jo Nar Tumko Nitya Dhyavai, Sankat Kate Sab Teri ||
Putraheen Jo Tumko Dhyavai, Putra Dehu Sukhkari |

अर्थ: हे संकटा भवानी, आपकी जय हो, जय हो! मैं आपकी आरती करती हूँ। हे माता, मैं आपकी शरण में आई हूँ, अब मेरी विनती सुनिए।
Hail, hail, O Sankata Bhawani! I perform Your Aarti. O Mother, I have come to Your refuge; now please listen to my plea.
अर्थ: इस संसार में आपके समान कोई दाता नहीं है, देवता, मनुष्य और मुनि सभी आपकी पुकार करते हैं। हमारे कष्टों का निवारण कीजिए, इसमें तनिक भी देर न लगाइए।
There is no giver in this world equal to You; gods, humans, and sages all call upon You. Please remove our troubles; do not delay even a little.
अर्थ: काम, क्रोध और लोभ के वश में होकर मैंने बहुत पाप किए हैं। उन अपराधों को अपने हृदय में लाइए (याद कीजिए) और मेरी बहुत सी भूलों को क्षमा कीजिए।
Under the sway of lust, anger, and greed, I have committed many sins. Please bring those transgressions to Your heart (remember them) and forgive my many mistakes.
अर्थ: आपके हाथों में खप्पर और खड्ग शोभायमान हैं, उस शोभा का वर्णन नहीं किया जा सकता। ब्रह्मा आदि देवता भी आपका पार नहीं पा सके, हृदय में खोज-खोजकर हार गए।
Holding a skull-cup and a sword in Your hands, Your splendor is indescribable. Even Brahma and other gods could not fathom Your greatness; they searched in their hearts and grew weary.
अर्थ: जो व्यक्ति दिन-रात आपका ध्यान करता है, वह संसार के बंधनों में नहीं आता। जो नर-नारी आपको नित्य ध्याते हैं, उनके सभी संकट कट जाते हैं।
One who meditates on You day and night does not fall into the bonds of worldly existence. Whoever meditates upon You daily, all their troubles are cut away.
अर्थ: जो पुत्रहीन आपको ध्याता है, उसे आप सुखकारी पुत्र प्रदान करती हैं। हे माता, जो निर्धन नर-नारी आपको ध्याते हैं, उन्हें आप धन प्रदान करती हैं।
To those who are childless and meditate upon You, You grant a blessed child. O Mother, to the poor men and women who meditate upon You, You bestow wealth.
अर्थ: जो रोग से ग्रस्त होकर आपको ध्याता है, उसके रोग और दुख दूर हो जाते हैं। आपका नाम संकट मोचन है, हे संकटा माई, आपकी जय हो, जय हो!
One who is afflicted by disease and meditates upon You, their diseases and sorrows are removed. Your name is 'Remover of Troubles'; Hail, hail, O Mother Sankata!
