धर्मराज प्रभु तुम ही, हो हरिहर धाता॥

जय देव दण्ड पाणिधर यम तुम, पापी जन कारण।
सुकृति हेतु हो पर तुम, वैतरणी ताराण॥

धर्मराज प्रभु तुम ही, हो हरिहर धाता॥
न्याय विभाग अध्यक्ष हो, नीयत स्वामी।
पाप पुण्य के ज्ञाता, तुम अन्तर्यामी॥

धर्मराज प्रभु तुम ही, हो हरिहर धाता॥
दिव्य दृष्टि से सबके, पाप पुण्य लखते।
चित्रगुप्त द्वारा तुम, लेखा सब रखते॥

अर्थ: ॐ जय हो धर्म के महान धारक, हे लोकों के रक्षक! हे धर्मराज प्रभु, आप ही हरि (विष्णु) और हर (शिव) के रूप में संसार के पालक हैं।
Om, victory, victory to the great upholder of Dharma, victory to the protector of all worlds! O Lord Dharmaraj, You alone are the sustainer of the universe, embodying both Hari (Vishnu) and Har (Shiva).
अर्थ: हे देव, आप ही दण्ड धारण करने वाले यमराज हैं, जो पापियों को दण्ड देते हैं। परन्तु अच्छे कर्म करने वालों के लिए आप वैतरणी नदी से पार कराने वाले हैं।
O Divine One, You are Yam, the wielder of the staff of punishment, the cause of suffering for sinners. Yet, for those who perform good deeds, You are the one who helps them cross the Vaitarni river (of suffering).
अर्थ: आप न्याय विभाग के अध्यक्ष हैं, और सभी के नियत स्वामी हैं। आप पाप और पुण्य के ज्ञाता हैं, आप सबके अन्तर्यामी हैं।
You are the head of the department of justice, the destined master of all. You are the knower of both sin and virtue, You are the indwelling spirit within all beings.
अर्थ: अपनी दिव्य दृष्टि से आप सबके पाप और पुण्य को देखते हैं। चित्रगुप्त के माध्यम से आप सबका लेखा-जोखा रखते हैं।

अर्थ: धर्मराज जी की यह आरती जो कोई भी मनुष्य गाता है, वह पृथ्वी पर सुख प्राप्त करता है और अपनी मनचाही इच्छाओं को पूर्ण पाता है।
