ॐ जय करवा मैया, माता जय करवा मैया।
जो व्रत करे तुम्हारा, पार करो नइया॥
सब जग की हो माता, तुम हो रुद्राणी।
यश तुम्हारा गावत, जग के सब प्राणी॥
कार्तिक कृष्ण चतुर्थी, जो नारी व्रत करती।
दीर्घायु पति होवे, दुख सारे हरती॥
होए सुहागिन नारी, सुख संपत्ति पावे।
गणपति जी बड़े दयालु, विघ्न सभी नाशे॥
करवा मैया की आरती, व्रत कर जो गावे।
व्रत हो जाता पूरन, सब विधि सुख पावे॥

अर्थ: हे करवा मैया, आपकी जय हो! हे माता करवा मैया, आपकी जय हो! जो भी आपका व्रत करता है, आप उसकी नैया पार लगाती हैं (उसे भवसागर से पार करती हैं)।
Om, Victory to Mother Karwa, Victory to Mother Karwa! Whoever observes your fast, you ferry their boat across (the ocean of life).
अर्थ: आप पूरे संसार की माता हैं, आप रुद्राणी (शिव की शक्ति) का स्वरूप हैं। इस संसार के सभी प्राणी आपका यशगान करते हैं।
You are the Mother of the entire world, you are the form of Rudrani (Shiva's consort). All beings in this world sing your praises.
अर्थ: कार्तिक मास की कृष्ण पक्ष की चतुर्थी को जो स्त्री आपका व्रत करती है, उसके पति को लंबी आयु प्राप्त होती है और आप उसके सारे दुखों को हर लेती हैं।

अर्थ: वह सुहागिन स्त्री सुख और संपत्ति प्राप्त करती है। (क्योंकि) गणपति जी बड़े दयालु हैं, वे सभी विघ्नों का नाश करते हैं।
